OUR STAY AT THE MOVENPICK KUREDHIVARU

Good morning everyone! I hope you are all doing well! Today I would like to tell you a little bit more about our stay at the 5-star resort located about 45 minutes north from Male, Mövenpick Kuredhivaru. We spent a week in the beautiful resort and in this post I would like to tell you a little bit about our stay and what you can expect shall you decide to book your stay as well. 

Krásné ráno všem! Doufám, že se všichni máte dobře! Dneska bych Vám ráda ukázala pár fotek z našeho pobytu v 5-i hvězdičkovém hotelu Mövenpick Kuredhivaru, kde jsme celkem strávili týden. Ráda bych Vám také řekla něco víc i hotelu,v případě, že by se tam někdo z Vás chystal, popř. přemýšlel o zakoupení pobytu. 

THE ISLAND

As mentioned in the introduction, the island is reachable via a seaplane transfer which from Male takes about 45 minutes. The location is in the north of the capital. The island itself is quite small - you can walk around the island within 14 minutes. In Kuredhivaru you  can find the front desk, a main restaurant, an a la carte restaurant, the main pool with a bar and a restaurant, a diving center, the gym area and the spa with separate overwater villas. 

Ostrov, na kterém se hotel nachází, leží cca. 45 minut severně od Male a dopravit se na něj můžete hydroplánem. Samotný ostrov je poměrně malý - celý ho obejdete za 14 minut. Na Kuredhivaru pak najdete (kromě pokojů), hotelovou recepci, 3 restaurace, 2 bary, hlavní bazén, potápěcí centrum, posilovnu a spa, které má také separátní vodní vily, kde si můžete zabookovat jednu z procedur.  

THE ROOMS

On the island you can find a total of 72 overwater villas and 30 beach suites and 3 beach residences. No matter if you're a beach or water villa person, the room will be great. We stayed in the amazing Overwater Lagoon Villa which had about 140 square meters. The room itself was divided into two separate rooms: on the left side there was the bedroom with a king sized bed, the TV area, the minibar section and also a sofa with a conference table. On the other side of the room you could enter the bathroom area where you could see two mirrors with sinks, a nice, oval shaped bathtub with a view of the villas and also an outside area which had two sections: the shower and the restroom. From both room you could enter the terrace on which you could find a sitting area, two sun beds, a net and also a private pool. There was also a seaprate walk-in closet. I personally think that the room had the perfect size for two people and that you actually don't need more space in the Maldives. 

V hotelu se nachází celkem 72 vodních vil, 30 plážových vil a také 3 plážové rezidence. My jsme byli ubytování ve vodní vile, kterou já osobně preferuji. Její velikost byla cca. 140 metrů čtverečních, což je podle mě ideální velikost: víc tu opravdu člověk nepotřebuje. Vila byla rozdělená do dvou částí: na levé straně se nacházela ložnice s televizí, minibar a také sedačka s konferenčním stolkem. Na opačné straně se pak nacházela koupelna s 2 umyvadly, oválnou vanou, make-upovým stolečkem a také venkovní toaleta a sprcha. Z obou místností jste měli vstup na terasu, na které byl stůl s 2 židlemi, 2 lehátka a také poměrně velký, privátní bazén.

THE FOOD

As mentioned already, you have three options: the breakfast and the dinner is served in the main restaurant in the form of a buffet. The buffet dinners have different themes every night, so you don't have worry there won't variety in case you stay longer on the island. For lunch you can use the pool restaurant which works on an a la carte basis. For dinner you can also make a booking in the a la carte restaurant called "Bodumas" which serves a combination of Asian and International cuisine and has also a sushi counter. 

Co se jídla týče, snídaně i večeře se servírují v hlavním restauraci formou bufetu. Každý večer se ale mění téma kuchyně, takže se rozhodně nemusíte bát, že by jste se výběrem nudili. Na oběd můžete vyrazit do restaurace u hlavního bazénu, kde si vybíráte z menu. Večeři si také můžete vychutnat v a la carte restauraci "Bodumas", kde najdete hlavně asijská a mezinárodní jídla, včetně sushi.

THE ACTIVITIES

In the hotel there are many things to do: besides enjoying your villa, sunbathing and simply relaxing, you can always go snorkeling. The best spot to do this is near the diving center jetty - we were able to spot many different kind of fishes, a sting ray, a baby shark and a turtle. There is also an option to go diving, in case you know how - or you can simply take a lesson and learn it. The resort is organizing different kind of excursions as well - you can book a dolphin cruise, a sunset cruise, a snorkeling trip, a fishing trip and many other experiences which in my opinion are really worth it in the Maldives. Of course, you can enjoy the un-motorized sports for free here and you can also use the motorized ones for a fee.

I aktivit je v hotelu hned několik: samozřejmě si vždycky můžete vychutnat sluníčko ve své privátní vile, skočit do bazénu nebo jen relaxovat. Skvělé je také jít šnorchlovat, a to přímo k molu s "divingem centrem", kde můžete vidět nejvíc zvířat: my jsme tam třeba několika druhů ryb viděli i žraloka, mantu a želvu. Rezort také nabízí nejrůznější exkurze a výlety - přes delfíny přes západ slunce až po rybaření. Když už se na Maledivy vydáte, neměli byste nějaký výlet rozhodně vynechat. Samozřejmě také můžete využít nemotorových plavidel (zdarma) a nebo si zaplatit nějaké motorové.

OVERALL RATING

In our opinion, the hotel offers a great price-quality-value experience. In comparison to other resorts we felt like the prices weren't exaggerated and that you can have a great time and experience in the hotel. I also think that the location is quite convenient as you don't need to take a local flight, but a seaplane is enough to reach the resort. We would definitely stay here again!  

V Mövenpicku se nám moc líbilo a podle mě nabízí skvělý poměr, ceny a kvality. Ceny v rezortu mi nepřišly přemrštěné - myslím, že si v hotelu můžete skvělou dovolenou za rozumné peníze - za mě byl hotel skvělý a určitě bych se do něj znovu podívala!
