AMSTERDAM IN SOFITEL

Good morning to you all! I am already back from Amsterdam, however I still have some random shots, which I would like to share with you and more importantly, show you and tell you something more about our amazing stay at the Sofitel Legend Amsterdam Grand Hotel, where we stayed at. We arrived in the hotel on Wednesday in the afternoon and enjoyed our room a little since the weather sucked. In the afternoon we went on a walk and discovered the neighborhood a little bit. In the evening we went for dinner at the Hard Rock Café. On Thursday, which was our last day, we went to the zoo and to the Albert Coin market - which is a one of the most famous markets in the city! After that we had lovely dinner, walked a little and sat in a cafe at the Keizersgracht, where we got some wine and simply enjoyed the atmosphere. On Friday we got a delicious brunch at the hotel, went for a little walk and then to the airport. Amsterdam, to me, was an amazing and beautiful city with a lot to see. I really do hope to come back soon!

V minulém článku jsem Vám vyprávěla, co jsme v hlavním městě Nizozemí dělali první dva dny našeho pobytu. Dneska bych Vám chtěla říct něco o tom, co jsme dělali ty zbylé dva dny a také Vám zároveň předtsvit Sofitel Legend Amsterdam Grand Hotel, kde jsme byli ubytovaní (celkem jsme v hotelu strávili 2 noci). Středu jsme začali tím, že jsme se ubytovali právě v Sofitelu. Dopoledne pršelo, takže jsme využili hotelového spa a bazénu. Odpoledne jsme pak šli na procházku a následně i na večeři do Hard Rock Café. Ve čtvrtek jsme se pak vydali do místní zoo a na slavný market Alberta Coina. Večer jsme zašli na večeři a pak si sedli ještě na sklenku v restauraci přímo u kanálů, kde jsme měli opravdu nádherný výhled. V pátek jsme už jenom zabalili, podívala se trochu po městě a pak už letěli domu. Amsterdam jsem si opravdu zamilovala a rozhodně bych se do něj ještě jednou ráda podívala!

As said, we stayed two nights at the amazing Sofitel Legend Amsterdam Grand Hotel. If you're looking for a luxury experience during your visit, this is THE place to be! The hotel is located in the heart of Amsterdam with a long history and tradition. Since 15th century the hotel offers a real luxury experience. You can choose from 177 rooms, 52 suites and a luxurious Canal House Suites, dine at 3 restaurants, get a drink the Vinothéque or the Flying Dutchman bar, smoke a cigarette at the Cigar Lounge, workout at the hotel gym, enjoy the spa and relax in the hotel pool. We had a breathtaking suite called "Winston Churchill". The whole room had 6 different rooms - an entrance, a closet, a living room together a the dinning room, a bedroom, a bathroom and a toilet. Our room was one of the Canal House Suite and the view from there was more than breathtaking. From our room we could see the Amsterdam Canals. Is there anything more one can ask when staying in Amsterdam? The room was furnished modern, with a classical taste. We also had our own butler, who ensured that we have everything we need during our stay. We also experienced the Room Service, which more than dreamy. The food was delicious and the staff made sure that we got everything we wanted. I have to stay - breakfast with a view of the Canal is something I am still dreaming of. The staff was really friendly and made sure that we get everything we need and that they fulfill all our wishes. We only got to experience breakfast, but from that I can say that the meals at the hotel are beyond delicious. The whole hotel is really luxurious, tasteful and historical - no wonder that so many politicians chose to experience this hotel, Winston Churchill, The Princess of Orange, Prince William of Orange with his sons and many many more. The Sofitel in Amsterdam won also several awards - for example The Best Luxury Historical Hotel in 2015, Tripadvisors Travelers' Choice 2015 Winner, Prestigious Star Awards - Most Prestigious Meeting Venue 2015 and many many more. Their restaurant "The Bridges" also belongs to the Michelin Star awarded restaurants. I think this only speaks itself. The hotel is a real experience, offers great service, serves more than delicious food and provides accommodation with history. If I went to Amsterdam again, this would be the place I want to stay at.

Jak jsem už zmiňovala v úvodu, poslední 3 dny jsme strávili v nádherém Sofitelu Legend Amsterdam Grand Hotel. Pokud hledáte opravdový luxusní zážitek během návštěvy Amsterdamu, tohle je hotel číslo jedna, kde byste se měli ubytovat. Hotel nabízí 177 pokojů, 52 suites, plus i suites v Canal House s výhledem na slavné amsterdamské kanály. Kromě toho můžete vyzkoušet i jednu ze tří hotelových restaurací, dát si skleničku v "Vinothéque" či drink v hotelovém baru "The Flying Dutch", zakouřit si v Ciagr Lounge, využít služeb spa, jít si zacvičit do hotelové posilovny nebo si zaplavat do hotelového bazénu. Náš pokoj, konkrétně suite s jménem Winston Churchill, byl jeden z již zmiňovaných Canal House Suites. Už jsem byla v několik hotelech, ale tohle byl jeden z největších pokojů, ve kterém jsem kdy bydlela - pokoj měl dalších 6 pokojů, a to předsíň, obývací pokoj společně s pracovnou a jídelnou, ložnici, koupelnu, toaletu a dokonce i jednu místnost, která sloužila jako šatník. Pokoj měl dechberoucí výhled na amsterdamské kanály. Dokonce jsme měli i vlastního butlera, který se o nás celé 3 dny staral. Pokoj byl zařízený moderně, ale vkusně, s trochou historických prvků. V tomto duchu je zařízený i celý hotel. Ten funguje již od roku 1411 a během své existence měl tu příležitost ubytovat například samotného Winstona Churchilla, princezny z Oranje nebo prince Williama z Oranje. Hotel byl oceněný několika cenami - například Best Luxury Historical Hotel in 2015, Tripadvisors Travelers' Choice 2015 Winner, Prestigious Star Awards - Most Prestigious Meeting Venue 2015 and many many more. Hotelová restuarace Bridges je oceněná Michelinovou hvězdou. Restauarci samotnou jsme bohužel neměli příležitost vyzkoušet, ale v pobytu jsme měli zahrnutou snídani, která byla opravdu vynikající. První den jsme si jí objednali na pokoj a užívali si ráno s výhledem na kanály. Musím říct, že pro mě to byl opravdu luxusní zážitek. Pokoj byl krásně zařízený a byl opravdu prostorný, personál byl příjemný a jídlo vynikající. Hotel leží v centru města, takže nám vyhovoval i polohou. Opravdu nemám co vytknout. Pokud se ještě někdy do Amsterdamu podívám, určitě to bude Sofitel Legend Amsterdam Grand Hotel, kde budu chtít být ubytovaná.
