TOP 10 HOTELS I VISITED IN 2019

It's the first month of 2020 - which means only one thing: it's allowed to be looking back at the previous year and reviewing it a little bit. As I think I've been to to some pretty amazing places,  I decided to write this post in which I would like to highlight the best hotels I stayed at in 2019 in order to give you a little traveling inspiration for the year!

Je první měsíc roku 2020, což znamená jen jednu věc: stále je povoleno zkapilovat předchozí rok. Dneska jsem si pro Vás v rámci těchto "rekapitulačních" článů připravila post o mých oblíbených hotelích, které jsem v předchozím roce navštívila. Doufám, že třeba tak někomu z Vás pomůžu při plánování dovolené a míst, které byste chtěli tento rok navštívit!

1. THE BÜRGENSTOCK RESORT, SWITZERLAND

Bürgenstock Resort is one of the places which left me completely speechless. To be frank honest - I am more of a city girl than nature lover, however I have to say that the view on the Lake Lucerne is simply amazing from this place. We went to the hotel not only once this year - but twice. Once in winter and once in summer. I have to say that I loved staying there both seasons. There are 4 hotels in total in the resort - the Bürgenstock Hotel itself which is the most expensive above all. The 5-star  superior hotel is very modern, yet feels very homy. One of the highlights in the famous Bürgenstock spa with the famous infinity pool. To me, this is one of the most beautiful places. All of the rooms face the lake and there's also a very cozy fireplace which I simply loved. The bathtub is also facing the lake which I think is the perfect place to cuddle up. I also have to highlight their restaurant with an Asian twist - I have to say that their fish was probably the freshest one I ever had. I would recommend staying here in the hotel in the colder times - in the summer I think I prefer the 4-star Palace Hotel which is just next to the Bürgenstock. This one is very historical and has rooms with balconies, which I think is really nice to chill at in the summer. If you're looking for a place to relax at, definitely make a booking at the 5-star Waldhotel which is just 5 minutes way walking distance from the complex. The hotel feels very calm and natural, has a great view on the nature and they specialize in health care and health procedures. The last, but not least, is the 3-star Taverne. Unfortunately I haven't been to this one (yet). 

Bürgenstock je jedno z míst, které jsem si zamiovala na první pohled a které mi doslova vyrazilo dech. V minulém roce jsem měla to štěstí ho navštívit hned dvakrát - a to v únoru a v červnu. Bürgenstock Hotel se nachází na kopečku, který je hned nad lucernským jezerem, což Vám umožňuje jedinečný pohled na celé jezero, hory v pozadí a spousti městeček. Bürgenstock je vyjímečný v mnoha směrech - kromě svých nádherných pokojů - kde se nachází třeba tato vana -, má i obrovské Alpine spa, kde také najdete jejich "slavný" rooftopový bazén. Těšit se můžete i na spoustu výborného, čerstvého jídla. Za mě doporučuji v hotelu vyzkoušet sashimi, které je opravdu čerstvé - tak čerstvé jsem snad ještě ani nejedla. Za mě Bürgenstock nemá žádnou chybu a jen doufám, že se do něj znovu podívám v tomto roce.

2. SHANGRI-LA PARIS, FRANCE

Do I even have to mention my home away from home? I think everyone who follows me knows that the Shangri-La Hotel in Paris is one of my favourites in the entire world and I always have the best time coming back. I fell in love with the place ever since I was there for a dinner back in 2015. Every since then I am making a yearly trip back and it's simply the best. The hotel has an amazing staff, which always make sure to make your every wish come true, they have a great selection of restaurants rewarded with a Michelin Star, a spa with a pool, many services and relaxation zones, which allow you to relax while on your stay and most importantly - the best view in Paris. I am already looking forwards to my next trip there in 2020!

Pařížský hotel Shangri-La snad už ani zmiňovat nemusím. Patří k mým nejoblíbenějším na celém světě a myslím, že tohle není žádným tajemstvím. Hotel jsem poprvé navštívila v roce 2015, kdy jsem do něj byla pozvaná na večeři. Od té doby jsem se do něj podívala každý rok a každý rok se na tento trip moc těším. Podle mě v žádném z pařížských hotelů nenajdete lepšího výhledu na Eiffelovku, lepších služeb a lepšího jídla!

3. PULITZER AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS

Pulitzer Hotel in Amsterdam is another place which I am always looking forwards coming back. The hotel is located on the main canal Prinsengracht and I love it for many reasons: their amazing view on the canals directly from the rooms, their cozy and home interior which makes you feel like home, the best eggs brioche with truffles in their restaurant Janzs, free bike rental at the hotel and the helpful staff. I think the hotel has a great value and allows you to discover the canals just by your feet! Can't wait to come back in 2020!

Pulitzer Hotel in Amsterdam je dalším hotelem, které bych chtěla zmínit. v 2019 jsem v hotelu byla již počtvrté, takže je myslím zcela jasné, že se do něho moc ráda vracím. Na hotelu se mi líbí jeho "domácká" atmosféra, díky které se v něm budete cítit jako doma. Pulitzer je položený mezi hlavními kanály Prinsengracht a Keizersgracht, díky čemuž máte nádherný výhled na slavné amsterdamské kanály. Rozhodně nevynechejte hotelovou restauraci Janzs, která má ty nejlepší míchaná vajíčka s lanýži na světě nebo jejich půjčovnu kol, která je pro hotelové hosty zcela zdrama!

4. MARRIOTT GROSVENOR SQUARE LONDON, UK

I visited the Marriott Grosvenor Square back in October and I was honestly surprised how calm the hotel is. It was not overcrowded, it was not busy and it was not annoying. This is actually the first Marriott hotel in London and it's also famous thanks to the show FRIENDS which was shot here (and that gives the hotel a big plus). There are several Michelin star rewarded restaurants, newly furnished rooms, the most beautiful floral entrance and a great M-Lounge which gives you everything you need during the day. 

Překvapená jsem byla také z hotelu Marriott Grosvenor Square, který se známý především díky seriálu "Přátelé", který je proslavil v rámci jejich londýnských epizod. Hotel se nachází v klidné čtvrti Grosvenor Square, která je opravdu klidná a na rozdíl od ostatních částí hotelů - není přeplněná turisty. Samotný hotel také působí klidně, takže pokud hledáte londýnský hotel, ve kterém si odpočinete, tohle je trefa do černého.

5. BULGARI HOTEL, DUBAI

I visited Dubai in April 2018 and it was a complete disaster - you could hear drilling the whole day and if not - then a loud music coming out of the main pool, which honestly made our day uncomfortable. I came back to the city in April 2019 with a press trip with Bulgari and I was honestly impressed how calm and quiet the place was. To be honest the hotel didn't even feel like inside of Dubai. There was also an exceptional delicious food, a great view on Dubai's skyline and I got there the best massage ever, probably.

Do Bulgari hotelu v Dubaji jsem se podívala v dubnu vrámci press tripu, kam jsem byla pozvaná značkou Bulgari. Hotel mě moc mile překvapil - narozdíl od jiných hotelů v Dubaji, rezort působí velice klidně. Na pláži ležíte takřka sami, což pro mě bylo naprostou výhodou. Navíc z hotelu máte nádherný výhled na dubajskou skyline a samozřejmě to vše je doplněné dokonalými sužbami, velkým spa a skvělým jídlem.

6. MANDARIN ORIENTAL PARIS, FRANCE

Another place which I truly loved was my stay at the Mandarin Oriental Paris. I came to the hotel in late November and thanks to all of the Christmas decorations I loved the place even more. I love Christmas, Christmas decorations, trees and lights and the hotel had everything mentioned. We got to stay in a beautiful Duplex Suite with an Eiffel Tower view. There was even a little Christmas Tree in our room which I think was really cute! What I loved about the hotel was their Winter Garden - this was an outside area of the hotel in which you could find many tables with chairs covered with white (faux) fur, many trees, lights, fake snow and a beautiful Christmas atmosphere. We went to this place 3x times during our 2 night stay and you can't blame us. I hope to come back next year in summer to take advantage of the beautiful terrace!

Další místo,které nemůžu opomenout je pařížšký Mandarin Oriental. Hotel jsem navštívila koncem listopadu, kdy již byl vánočně vyzdobený, a měl jedinečnou atmosféru - všude měli světýlka, spoustu ozdob a stromečků. Mě moc zaujala jejich"zimní zahrada", kam jste si mohli jít sednout na kávu, skleničku prosseca či cocktail. My jsme měly tu možnst bydlet v jedné z jejich "Duplex Suites" s výhledem na Eiffelovku, která byla naprosto snová.

7. ONE & ONLY SAINT GERAIN, MAURITIUS

One&Only is a brand which I heard a lot about - yet my first visit of the hotel was first in 2019 when I was invited to the hotel in Mauritius. The place really did feel like a paradise. It was calm, it was quiet, it was relaxing. The room we got in the hotel was insanely big so even though it was raining a lot during our trip, we still managed to have a good time thanks to this. Additionally all of the people were nice and the food was very delicious too!

O One&Only jsem slyšela spoustu pozitivních věcí - o tom, že je to pravda, jsem se přesvědčila až v říjnu, kdy jsem byla pozvaná do jejich hotelu na Mauriciu. Ten působil opravdu soukromně a tiše. V hotelu sjte skoro nepotkali nikoho jiného. Náš pokoj byl opravdu prostorný, jídlo nemělo chybu a obecně byl O&O opravdu nádherný.

8. LONDON MARRIOTT COUNTY HALL, UK

The London Marriott County Hall belongs to one of my favourite hotels without any doubts. I've been to this hotel already twice and everytime I come back it reminds me how much I love this place. The hotel is located directly at the river, close to the London Eye and the Big Ben, which I personally think is very central. The view from the hotel is absolutely amazing and so was our stay - and I think the price is really fair too!

London Marriott County Hall je jedním z těch hotelů, do kterých se vracím pravidelně. Tenhle londýnský Marriott jsem již navštívila dvakrát a věřím, že ne naposledy. Najdete ho přímo na břehu Temže, hned vedle London Eye a naproti Big Benu - na obě památky máte z hotelu jedinečný výhled. Přijde mi, že poměr ceny a kvality je naprosto přijatelný.

9. PALMS LAS VEGAS, USA

The stay in the Palms in Vegas felt like a dream come true - we had the chance to stay in the luxurious Revolve Suite - one of their most exclusive rooms. Even though the hotel is not located directly on the strip, I think it's amazing. They have an amazing rooftop bar, called "Apex" from which you can enjoy the view on the whole city. The view from our room was pretty sick too. One of the best stays for me, without any doubts!

Jedním z mých nejlepších výletů byl do Vegas, kde jsme byly ubytované v luxusní Revolve Suite, která se nachází v hotelu Palms. Přestože se hotel nenachází na "stripu", stojí za to ho navštívit. Například v hotelu najdete nádherný rooftop "Apex", ze kterého máte výhled na celé město, velké kasíno, mnightclub a také již zmiňovaný pokoj "Revolve Suite", kterou jsem doopravdy nechtěla opustit.

10. THE DOLDER GRAND, SWITZERLAND

The last, but not the least place I would like to mention, is the luxurious hotel located on the hills overseeing the city of Zürich, the Dolder Grand. The hotel belong to my favs for many many reasons: the view from there is absolutely amazing, the hotel looks beautiful, there's a pretty large spa area where you can relax to the maximum, lots of greens around the hotel and of course lots of delicious food served. I can really recommend this hotel and I believe everyone will find what they're enjoying in there.

Posledním hotelem v tomto článku je švýcarský the Dolder Grand, který se nachází nad městem Zürich. Vyjímečný je hned v několika ohledech: kolem hotelu najdete spoustu lesů, louk a golfových hřišť, z hotelu máte jedinečný výhled na celé hlavní město Švýcarska, jejich spa má přes 3600 metrů čtverečních a jejich služby jsou naprosto špičové. Za mě je to nádherné místo, které stojí za to navštívit!
