OUR STAY AT THE COCO PALM BODU HITHI

 

Good morning guys! I hope you are doing well. Today I would like to show you pictures from our last week in the Maldives which we spent at the luxurious 5 star property Coco Palm Bodu Hithi, and also tell you a little bit more about the hotel and our experience in general. 

Krásné ráno všem! Doufám, že se všichni máte dobře. Dneska bych Vám chtěla ukázat fotky a obecně zhodnotit náš poslední týden na Maledivách, který jsme strávili v krásném, 5-i hvězdičkovém hotelu Coco Palm Bodu Hithi.

THE HOTEL

Coco Palm Bodu Hithi can be found within the North Malé Atoll and from the Malé International Airport in Malé it is a 40 minutes speedboat ride until you reach the hotel. I think this is very convenient - nowadays, as many come to the Maldives, the TMA is overbooked and sometimes you have to wait a full day in Malé or even take a night in Malé. This way you can simply just jump on the boat which is way more flexible as it is managed directly via the hotel. The island itself isn't really big: you can walk around within 15 minutes. In total there are 44 villas on the beach and 56 villa over the water. You can choose from dining in 6 restaurants and bars. On the island there is also a famous COCO Spa where you can relax to the max! Additionally, you may use the main infinity pool, the tennis court, the water sports center, the diving center where you can also book one of the many excursions or scroll down the boutique on the island.

Coco Palm Bodu Hithi se nachází v servením Malé atollu a z mezinárodního letiště v Malé se do hotelu dostanete lodí. Cesta trvá cca. 40 minut a jeliož je loď operovaná přímo hotelem, nehrozí Vám, že budete muset strávit celý den v Malé čekáním na hydroplán, a také Vám to ušetří celkem dost času. Na ostrově se pak nachází 44 vil na souši a 56 vil na vodě. Co se jídla týče, můžete si vybrat z jedné z 6 restaurací a barů. Zrelaxovat pak můžete ve vyhlášeném COCO Spa a využít můžete i hlavního bazénu, tenisových kurtů, vodních sportů, potápěčského centra a nebo si zabookovat jednu z mnoha exkurzí.

THE ROOMS

During our stay we stayed in the Water Villa category. Our villa had about 109 square meters and after you entered the room, there was a spacious bedroom in which you could find a bed with two nightstands, a working area and also the mini bar together with the coffee machine. In the front part of the room we had a private terrace with a day bed, two sun beds, a sitting area and also a spacious private pool. In the back of the room there was the bathroom - two separate sinks with a mirror each. We also had two shower - an outside shower which I think was really amazing and also an additional inside shower. We also had a bathtub, the restroom and also the closet in this area of the room. I personally think that the villa was really nice and that the size was absolutely perfect. 

Během našeho pobytu jsme byli ubytováni v kategorii "Water Villa". Vila měla kolem 109 metrů čtvrečeních, což mě osobně přišlo jako skvělá velikost. Hned po vstupu do pokoje jste se ocitli v prostorné ložnici, kde kromě postele a nočních stolků, byl i pracovní stůl, minibar a kávovar. V přední části pokoje pak byla terasa s "denní postelí", 2 lehátkami, stolem se židlemi a také velkým, privátním bazénem. V zadní pokoje se pak nacházela koupelna - její součástí byla 2 umyvadla se zrcadly, make-upový stolek, vnitřní i venkovní sprcha, volně stojící vana, záchod a také šatna.

RESTAURANTS & BARS

As mentioned before, the choice of the restaurants is really big. When it comes to the packages - you can simple book a stay with just breakfast, enjoy a half-board or go all in with an all inclusive. This is the package we chose and we can only recommend it! When it comes to all day dining, you can go to Air where you can enjoy your meals served in the buffet style. When it comes to the choice, we think there was always a lot to choose from and that you didn't get bored of the food at all. The quality of the food was outstanding as well! In case you are staying in the Escape Water Villas, you can enjoy an á la carte served breakfast and other dishes in the Stars restaurant. The cuisine is Asian inspired and in the contemporary style. In the Aqua restaurant you can enjoy lunch and dinner in the romantic outdoor seating and when it comes to food, they serve the best of the best of the seafood and fish! The main bar is called Latittude and here you can enjoy a drink or two and also smaller bites and dishes during the bar and night. In case you love wine, you should definitely pay a visit to the Wine Loft which is offering a countless options of wines from all over the world! Asian cuisine and sushi is being served in the Tsuki restaurant which is located in the main area. 

Jak jsem již zmiňovala - výběr restaurací je opravdu velký. Co se balíčků týče: můžete si zabookovat pobyt jen se snídaní, polopenzí nebo all inclusive. My jsme zvolili all inclusive a rozhodně jsme nelitovali - tento balíček můžu každému jen a jen doporučit. V restauraci Air se můžete najíst celý den, a to v bufetové stylu. Osobně si myslím, že výběr byl při každém jídle víc jak velký a nikdy jsme neměli pocit, že bychom jedli "pořád to samé". Pokud se ubytujete v jedné z vil v kategorii "Escape Water Villa", tak můžete využít i restaurace Stars, kde se servíruje snídaně i ostatní jídla á la carte. V Aqua si můžete vychutnat oběd i večeři, a to také v á la carte stylu. Na menu najdete pokrmy z čerstvých ryb a mořských plodů. V blízkosti společného bazénu najdete i hlavní bar, Latittude, kde si kromě drinků můžete objednat i snacks a menší jído. Hned nad barem najdete Wine Loft, které nabízí nespočet vín z celého světa, a také asijskou restaraci Tsuki, kde se kromě jiného servíruje i sushi.

 

OVERALL REVIEW

I have to say that we really enjoyed our stay and we can only recommend staying at the hotel. I think this is especially a great choice when arriving late to Male and leaving late from Male. We really appreciated that the hotel could extend our stay until 8pm - this way we could enjoy a basically full day in the hotel and didn't have to spend a lot of time in the airport in Male. Everybody was really friendly as well - so for us definitely a hotel we would come back to!

Musímm říct, že náš pobyt byl naprosto skvělý a že hotel můžeme rozhodně jen doporučit. Myslím, že je také super, že se nachází v blízkosti Malé a že se do něj dá dojet lodí. Nám to ušetřilo několika hodinové čekání v Male, jelikož náš odlet do Dohy byl ve 23.20 a TMA lety operuje jen do západu slunce. Pokud tedy přilétáte pozdě nebo/a odlétáte pozdě, určitě o hotelu popřemýšlejte!!
