Happy Halloween to you guys! No matter if you celebrate this holiday or not, I want to wish you a great day and a magical night! Today I have for you a post which we took at the Marriott Grosvenor Square in London where we stayed some time ago. In this post I would like to tell you a little bit more about the hotel and why we chose to stay there!

Krásný Halloween všem! Ať už tenhle svátek slavíte nebo ne – užijte si ho tak či tak! Já osobně využiju každé chvíle nazdobit si byt, takže u mě momentálně najdete spoustu dýní a svíček. Dnešní post je focený v luxusním hotelu Marriott Grosvenor Square, kde jsme byly ubytované před pár týdny a nafotily tenhe “halloowenský” post. Pokud se chcete dozvědět něco víc o hotelu, rozhodně pokračujte ve čtení!

The luxurious 5-star hotel Marriott Grosvenor Square is located in the centre of Mayfair, which is a perfect, central location. It’s just 10 minutes from the Oxford Street (walking distance) and the surrounding of the hotel is very calm and quiet. The hotel is actually the very first Marriott in London, so as you can guess the hotel has a great history and tradition. One of the most fun facts about the place is the fact that the hotel was featured in Friends, which for someone who’s as big fan as me of the show, has a great value. The hotel’s rooms are fully renovated now – our Executive Suite felt very spacious (which you don’t get a lot in the city) with a great modern twist. As the room name says, we also got an access to the „Executive M-Lounge“ which can be found in the floor -1. In the lounge you’ll find breakfast, light lunch snacks, an Afternoon Tea and a canape hour with alcoholic drinks complimentary. During the day you can grab one of the non-alcoholic drinks, coffee, tea or newspaper which are also for free. I think this is a great deal and actually every time when staying at a Marriott hotel, we always book this option. I can only highly recommend to you to book this as well. The hotel has a total of 130 rooms and suites. In the hotel you can also find 2 restaurants – the “Lucky Cat” which is a new place opened and operated by the one and only Gordon Ramsey and a steakhouse called "Gordon Ramsey Bar & Grill" which is rewarded with a Michelin Star. Unfortunately, we didn’t have a chance to try any of the restaurants, however we decide to try their “Luggage Room” which is the famous hotel’s bar. I have to say that the drinks very absolutely amazing and I can only recommend trying “The Pope” which was 100% my style. The bar has a very intimate atmosphere and a great design – so even if you’re not staying at the hotel, I think it’s definitely worth the visit.

Marriott Grosvenor Square je luxusní, 5-i hvězdičkový hotel, který najdete v srdci londýnské čtvrti Mayfair. Jedná se o úplně první Marriott v Londýně, a zároveň je to také hotel, ve kterém se natáčely londýnské scény v Přátelích. Grosvenor Square je vzdálené necelých 10 minut pěší chůze a nabízí všechno, co si můžete přát: 130 nově zrenovovaných pokojů a suites, 2 restaurace, hotelový lounge a světově vyhlášený bar. My jsme byly ubytované v prostorné „Executive Suite“, která se nacházela na 6.patře hotelu a zařízená byla v moderním duchu. Díky tomuto typu pokoje jsme také měly přístup do M-Lounge, kde se denně podávají snídaně, lehké snacky přes oběd, afternoon tea a večerní kanapky společně s alkoholickými nápoje. Po celý den v lounge naleznete nealkoholické nápoje, kávu, čaj, sušenky a noviny. Myslím, že zabookovat si lounge se opravdu vyplatí – minimálně já si ho vždycky bookuji při mých Marriottových návštěvách. V hotelu najdete taky 2 restaurace – "Lucky Cat", kterou otevřel a vede známý Gordon Ramsey a tradiční steakhouse "Gordon Ramsey Bar & Grill", který má jednu Michelinskou hvězdu. Ani jednu z restaurací jsme bohužel neměly tu šanci vyzkoušet, za to jsme se vydaly jeden večer do vyhlášeného, hotelového baru "The Luggage Room", který podle mě stojí za návštěvu, ikdyž v hoteu nejste ubytovaní. Má opravdu intimní atmosféru, skvělý interiér a především opravdu skvělé, originální koktejly. Za mě doporučuji vyzkoušet „The Pope“.
