OUR STAY AT THE SHANGRI-LA PARIS

Good afternoon everyone! I hope you are doing well. Today I would like to show you some pictures from my forever favourite Parisian home away from home, the one and only Shangri-La Paris. If you are following me for a longer time, you probably already know some information about the hotel as this was my 5th stay at the hotel. If you are new here or simply would like to get to know the hotel, read further!

Krásné odpoledne všem! Dneska bych Vám chtěla ukázat fotky a celkově i zhodnotit náš pobyt v hotelu Shangri-La Paris, ve kterém - ano, sama tomu nemohu uvěřit - jsme tentokrát byly už po páté. THE ROOMS

Let me start with my favourite part of the hotel - which are the rooms. In Shangri-La Paris you can find 100 rooms - to be specific 63 rooms and 37 suites. This time we had a lovely 2 night stay at the previous palace owned by Prince Roland Bonaparte. During this visit we stayed in one of their Eiffel View Rooms. The room had a little closet and a mini bar in the entry area, followed by a little shelf, working area, one large bed with a TV and a smaller seating area with a couch.Throughout the wall there were big windows with an Eiffel Tower view - when you were laying in bed you felt like watching a movie actually - the Eiffel Tower. This was really special to me and I think I have never slept that close to the Eiffel Tower in my life. In the back of the room the bathroom was located - there was a spacious bathtub out of which the Eiffel Tower was visible - can a guest ask for me? As a part of the bathroom there were two sinks, a shower and a restroom as well. To be honest having the view of the Eiffel Tower was really special and the room felt also a little different to where we stayed before: as a final verdict it doesn't really matter where you stay as every room has its own charm and beauty!

Rovnou bych začala asi mojí neoblínější částí hotelu - a to pokoji. V hotelu se nachází celkem 100 pokojů - a to 63 pokojů a 37 suites. My jsme tentokrát byly ubytované v kategorii Eiffel Tower View, a to konkrétně v pokoji, který se trochu lišil od těch předchozích. Hned v "předsíni" se nacházela šatna společně s minibarem. V samotném pokoji dál byl pak stůl, komoda s ložným prostorem, prostorná postel s "výhledem" na televizi a také křeslo se stolečkem. Podél celého pokoje byla pak prostorná okna, ze kterých bylo vidět na Eiffelovku. Na "konci" pokoje byla pak koupelna, jejíž součástí byla prostorná vana, ze které bylo také vidět na Eiffelovku - no, co víc si přát?! Její součástí byly samozřejmě i 2 oddělená umyvadla, toaleta a také srchový kout. Musím ale říct, že usínat s okny, ze kterých je vidět Eiffelovka, bylo něco extra - myslím, že jsem v životě nespala tak blízko Eiffelovky. Výhled z postele mi přišel až nereálný - takže si myslím, že je "jedno" v jakém pokoji z této kategorie budete spát - vždy to bude stát "za to".

 

THE HOTEL

To introduce to you the hotel a little closer - when you enter the hotel you feel like you are in a palace. The whole hotel has a beautiful interior with luxurious and typical French details. The history of the hotel goes back to 1896 when the building was built. Nowadays the hotel provides an excellent service to its guest and in my personal opinion - has the best view in town. In Shangri-La Paris you can find many beautiful rooms - in case you are planning a wedding a Paris, make sure to think about this place. As a guest you can use the Chi Spa, which is decided to the needs and well-being of the guests. As a part of the spa you can take a swim in the in-door pool or simply relax on the poolside. In case you are staying during summer, the spa has also an outside part where you can enjoy the fresh Parisian air and a little bit of an Eiffel Tower view. When it comes to the treatments, you can choose from facial, nail, beauty and body treatments. As a part of the area there is also a dedicated fitness area. 

 

Abych Vám přiblížila i samotný hotel: už po vstupu do něj si připadáte jako v paláci. Jedná se totiž o historickou budovu, která byla postavena v roce 1896, a byla postavena speciálně pro prince Ronalda Bonaparte. Hned při vstupu si připadáte jako v paláci: všude okolo Vás je luxusně zařízený prostor ve francouzském stylu. Jako host můžete plně využívat  Chi Spa. Kromě nejrůznějších kosmetických, zdravotních a zkrášlovacích procedur, můžete využít i krytého bazénu, lehátek okolo něj a také venkovního prostoru s výhledem na Eiffelovku, kde můžete zrelaxovat na 100%. 

  

FOOD & DRINKS

In the hotel you can find three restaurants: the Shang Palace which is, due to the Covid-19 regulations, unfortunately closed at the moment. This Chinese restaurant is actually the first fine dining Chinese restaurant opened in France. On the menu you can find dishes inspired by the Southeast's cuisine - for example WOK, BBQ or Dim Sum. A restaurant we actually visited twice for dinner during out stay was Le Bauhinia. The restaurant is offering a breakfast service for its guests, just like opening hours during lunch and dinner. The dishes served are inspired by  Western and Southeast Asian cuisine. During summer, there is also additional seating area located in the yard - the atmosphere is really amazing as you are being seated in the middle of Paris yet feeling like you are not in the city at all. In the surroundings there is a lot of green - trees, flowers, plants - as well as there is, of course, an Eiffel Tower view. During summer the hotel is actually turning one of their Signature Suites into a bar, call Le Bar á Le Ciel Ouvert by Krug. As you can guess, in the bar you can enjoy a glass - or two - of the champagne Krüg, a delicious cocktail or a small bite. The seating is very limited therefore I highly recommend to make a reservation in advance - the bar is operating from 6 to 10pm on the weekdays and from 4pm to 10pm on the weekends, in summer only. Additionally, there is also Le Bar Boniste which we haven't visited yet. 

Myslím, že hotel již není potřeba nějak blíže představovat. Hotel jsem již popisovala v TOMTO článku, takže pokud se o pařížské Shangri Le chcete dozvědět nějaké základní informace, určitě si ho přečtěte. Jednu z věcí, kterou jsem v článku ale nezmiňovala - jelikož jsem v hotelu vždycky byla na podzim a v zimě - je Krug Teracce, známá jako Le Bar á Le Ciel Ouvert by Krug. Jedná se o velice unikátní bar, jelikož na jeho vytvoření byl vystěhovaný pokoj číslo 410 a pokoj se tak přeměnil na bar s příjemným posezením. Celý prostor je unikátní také tím, že nabízí krásný výhled na Eiffelovku ve velice privátním prostředí - vevnitř najedete jen 16 míst k sezení a venkovní terasa jich nabízí jen 14. Na menu najdete samozřejmě šampaňské značky Krug, spoustu koktejlových variací a snacků. Pokud se chcete do baru podívat, rozhodně doporučuji si udělat rezervaci vzhledem k tomu, že místa jsou opravdu limitovaná. Fotku z baru najdete i na mém Instagramu, tady. OVERALL RATING

As this was my 5th stay in the hotel, I think that this fact speaks for itself. I can only recommend to stay at the Shangri-La Paris. For me, this place will always have a special place in my heart and I will always look forward to the stay like a little kid!

Myslím, že fakt, že jsem v hotelu už po páté mluví za své. Shagri-La v paříži vždycky bude mít speciální místo v mém srci a vžycky se na pobyt v ní budu těšit jako malá - takže za mě 1000 z 10!
