MY PARISIAN HOME AWAY FROM HOME

One of the things I love about coming back to Shangri-La Paris is the feeling of being home away from home. During my Paris trip a couple of weeks ago I returned to my all-time favourite hotel in Paris which was actually my 4th time visiting the hotel and the 3rd time staying there. Every time I come back I lose my breath for a minute because of the view, the beautiful rooms and the overall atmosphere of the hotel. Today I am sharing some of my shots while visiting the hotel.

Jednu z věcí, kterou miluju na hotelu Shangri-La Paris, je pocit se cítit jako doma. V hotelu jsem teď byla již po čtvrté, z toho třikrát jsem v něm byla ubytovaná. Vždycky když vidím Eiffelovku přímo z pokoje, na chvíli skoro ztratím dech. Shangri-La patří k jedněm z mála hotelů, kam se ráda vracím a který bych každému mohla jen doporučit! 

I have already introduced the hotel to you in THIS post so if you would like to read some basic information and fact, just click here. However one of the things which I would like to highlight in this post is their amazing Krug Terrace, also known as Le Bar à ciel ouvert by Krug, which is located on the 4th floor of the hotels and offers an amazing view on the Eiffel Tower in a very intimate atmosphere (check my post from there here). The "bar" which is placed in one of their room 410 (after removing the furniture) has a limited availability of only 16 outside seats and 14 inside seats which gives you an amazing and most importantly private experience. On the menu you'll find of course the Krug Champagne next to some special hotel's signature cocktails and small snacks. If you happen to be in Paris during the summertime, definitely make sure to stop by. I highly recommend to make a reservation since the seats are very limited. The bar opened until 16th of September!

Myslím, že hotel již není potřeba nějak blíže představovat. Hotel jsem již popisovala v TOMTO článku, takže pokud se o pařížské Shangri Le chcete dozvědět nějaké základní informace, určitě si ho přečtěte. Jednu z věcí, kterou jsem v článku ale nezmiňovala - jelikož jsem v hotelu vždycky byla na podzim a v zimě - je Krug Teracce, známá jako Le Bar à ciel ouvert by Krug. Jedná se o velice unikátní bar, jelikož na jeho vytvoření byl vystěhovaný pokoj číslo 410 a pokoj se tak přeměnil na bar s příjemným posezením. Celý prostor je unikátní také tím, že nabízí krásný výhled na Eiffelovku ve velice privátním prostředí - vevnitř najedete jen 16 míst k sezení a venkovní terasa jich nabízí jen 14. Na menu najdete samozřejmě šampaňské značky Krug, spoustu koktejlových variací a snacků. Pokud se chcete do baru podívat, rozhodně doporučuji si udělat rezervaci vzhledem k tomu, že místa jsou opravdu limitovaná. Fotku z baru najdete i na mém Instagramu, tady. Also, if you happen to be in town and love Chinese cuisine, make sure to visit the Shang Palace which is located inside of the hotel and happens to be the only Chine restaurant with a Michelin star in the whole country! We made a reservation while staying the hotel and our experience was just amazing. On the menu you'll find a combination of traditional and modern Chinese cuisine, including dishes like fish, duck, noodles or rice. We started with a Chinese eggplant which I can recommend to everyone. I've never tasted the Chinese eggplant however the preparation in the restaurant was amazing. We shared a lobster as a main course which was delicious as well (I mean, who doesn't love a good lobster, right?!). They have also an amazing selection of desserts, wines and champagnes to finish off your dinner. If you don't enjoy the Chinese cuisine so much, make sure to check their more international restaurant, La Bauhinia, which I already talked about in this post.

Tentokrát jsme také měli tu možnost vyzkoušet čínskou restauraci Shang Palace , která nabízí mix klasické a moderní čínské kuchyně. Pokud jste milovníkem čínské kuchyně, určitě si v této jedinečné restauraci udělejte rezervaci - má totiž jako jediná v celé Francii Michelinskou hvězdu. My jsme začaly večeři čínským lilkem, který já jsem ve svém životě měla poprvé. Pokud se do restaurace dostanete, určitě ho vyzkoušejte - dělají ho opravdu báječně. Jako hlavní chod jsme si daly humra, který byl také udělaný na jedničku. Zároveň bych chtěla doporučit i druhou restauraci, La Bauhinia, o které jsem již psala tady.
