OUR STAY AT THE WESTIN PARIS

 

Good morning everyone, I hope you are doing well! Today I would like to show you some photos and tell you a little bit more about our stay at The Westin Paris Vendome where we got to spend 2 beautiful nights back in December.

V dnešním postu bych Vám ráda ukázala pár fotek z našeho pobytu z hotelu The Westin Paris Vendome, ve kterém jsme měly tu příležitost se ubytovat začátkem měsíce. Zároveň bych hotel také ráda zhodnotila - takže pokud se chystáte do Paříže, pokračujte ve čtení!

ABOUT THE HOTEL

The Westin Paris Vendome is actually a 4-star hotel however if I haven't had read that on their website, I would have thought it was a 5-star hotel. As the name says, the hotel is located near Place Vendome and the Jardin des Tuileries which is the perfect location, in my opinion. The hotel is actually several buildings connected together and the hotel is very historical. There are more than 428 rooms and suites in the house which I personally think is an crazy amount. The hotel has also 13 meeting rooms which makes it the perfect venue for conferences and events. There are 4 restaurants and bars in the property and there is also a gym. 

The Westin Paris Vendome je 4-hvězdičkový hotel, ve kterém máte ale pocit, že jste v 5-i hvězdě. Já sama, kdybych si to na jejich stránkách nepřečetla, bych měla pocit, že jsem v 5-i hvězdičkovém hotelu. Jak již název říká, Westin Paris Vendome se nachází jen pár metrů od Place Vendome, a zároveň také jen pár minut od Jardin des Tuileries, což je podle mě ideální lokace. Hotel je propojený z více historických domů a z celého hotelu na Vás dýchá historie. Celkem v domě najdete 428 pokojů a suites, což je podle mého názoru opravdu požehnané číslo. Hotel má také 13 meetingových prostorů, fitness a také 4 restaurace a bary.

ROOMS & SUITES

During our stay at The Westin Paris Vendome we had the chance to stay in the room category "Junior Suite with a View". Our Suite was really spacious: it had about 90 square meters. Once you entered the room, you were in a living room connected together a dining room, designed into light colours with a big chandelier. There was also a fireplace and a balcony from which you could enjoy a view over the Jardin des Tuileries, Rue de Rivoli and also the Eiffel Tower. In the right wing of the room there was a smaller bathroom with a sink, shower and also a private sauna, which was honestly so nice to have. In the left wing of the room we had a huge bedroom with a spacious bed, 2 nightstands, TV, working area and another long balcony from which you could enjoy the views of the city of Lights. Further in the back there was a smaller room with three wardrobes and the safe and behind this room there was the actual bathroom located which has a toilet, two sinks, a mirror and also a bathtub which you could also use as a shower. The room was very light and bright, with a lot of historical elements. The size was absolutely incredible and so was the view.

Během našeho pobytu v The Westin Paris Vendome jsme byly ubytovány v kategorii "Junior Suite with a View", což byla opravdu krásná Suite s cca. 90 metry čtverečními. Hned po příchodu do pokoje jste si ocitli v prostorném obývacím pokoji, který byl spojený i s jídelnou: nechyběla v něm prostorná sedačka s konferečním stolkem, jídelní stůl s židlemi, televize, krb, minibar a ani nádherný křišťálový lustr a krb. Po celém obvodu této místnosti byl také balkónek, ze kterého jste viděli přímo na celý Jardin des Tuileries, Rue de Rivoli a také na Eiffelovku. V pravém křídle pokoje se pak nacházela menší koupelna s umyvadlem, sprchou a také privátní saunou, což pro mě byl bezpochybně highlight našeho pokoje. V levém křídle se pak nacházela prostorná ložnice s postelí, 2 nočními stolky, pracovní plochou a také balkonem, ze kterého byl stejně krásný výhled jako z obýváku. Za ložnicí byla menší šatna se 3 skříněmi, úložním prostorem a trezorem a za ní pak ještě koupelna s 2 umyvadly, zrcadlem, toaletou a vanou, která sloužila i jako sprchový kout. Pokoj byl zařízený ve světlých, teplých barvách, díky kterýmž působil luxusně, ale zároveň i útulně.

RESTAURANTS & BARS

As mentioned, in the hotel there are 4 restaurants and bar. The "Le First Restaurant" is opened everyday from breakfast until dinner and on the menu you'll find international dishes. "The Teracce" is usually opened during summertime and also here you can enjoy more international food options. It is sometimes booked for private events. If you would like to enjoy a drink, or perhaps pair it with a lunch or a dinner, make sure to stop by at "Bar Tuileries" which open its door to the guests at 11am and remains opened until 11.30pm, everyday. During our stay we decided to try out their "Winter Chalet" which makes you feel like you were in a chalet in Switzerland or Austria: this half-outdoor space was designed into light woods style, there were several tables and on the chairs was fur. There was also a lot of lights and woods. The Chalet was made in a collaboration with Baileys, so you could enjoy a special drink from them, or you could simply go for something else. We had our dinner in the Winter Chalet and it was a great experience! I started my evening with a smoked salmon with bread and cream, followed by an amazing fish with risotto which tasted really well. In case you are in Paris, you really should try this place out!

Jak jsem již zmiňovala, v hotelu se nachází celkem 4 restaurace a bary. "Le First Restaurant" je otevřený po celý den a na menu najdete mezinárodní pokrmy. I "The Teracce" se soustředí na mezinárodní kuchyni a populární je především v létě. "Bar Tuleries" je otevřený na oběd i večeři, a rád Vás uvítá i pouze na cocktail či skleničku vína. Během našeho pobytu jsme měly šanci vyzkoušet "Winter Chalet", což je restaurace zařízená v horském stylu, takže máte pocit, že jste spíš na horách ve Švýcarsku než ve víru velkoměsta. Hotel při této příležitosti spojil své síly s Baileys, a tak si v Chaletu můžete dát hned několik drinků vyrobených právě z něho. Na menu najdete ale is samozřejmě "tradiční" cocktaily, šampaňské a víno. Myslím, že se jedná o naprosto dokonalé spojení a pokud budete v Paříži, určitě vyzkoušejte tento chalet na drink nebo rovnou večeři!

OVERALL RATING

I truly enjoyed our time at The Westin Paris Vendome, and as said in the introduction, the hotel felt truly like a 5-star. I absolutely enjoyed the location, the food, the service and the room - in case you are planning a trip to Paris, definitely consider staying there. To me, it was a 10/10 experience!

Já osobně jsem si náš pobyt v The Westin Paris Vendome moc užila a všem ho mohu jen doporučit. Vše bylo skvělé: od lokace přes servis až po jídlo. Takže za mě, 10 z 10!
